The baby’s first cry, first look, first smile, the first moments of peace and quiet in your arms. Unique moments showcasing the miracle of life, the beginning of a new existence. That of your baby.
All of us who are happy enough to have become parents have experienced those magic moments that will remain indelible in our memory. While we experience them, we feel as though they will last forever. But time flies by and the baby develops so quickly! It grows, it changes daily! Within the first 15 to 20 days, it goes from newborn to a small baby.
This is stage when we try to document and keep alive in time its first moments, using cell phones, tablets, photo and video cameras… How much better would it be to give our baby and the other members of our family the experience of a professional photo-shoot!
Having followed numerous “newborn photography” seminars, Dora and Maria Xanthopoulou are considered specialists in this genre of photography. Being mothers themselves, they are perfectly capable of rendering a creative approach to this.
Sessions are carried out either at home in natural light or at the fully equipped PHOTOWORLD professional studio, under cinema lighting, specially et up for such photo-shoots. Furthermore, our studio is fully furnished with special accessories that make the shooting of the newborn’s photographs interesting and fun. The duration of such a photo-shoot is two to three hours, taking into consideration any time required for breastfeeding and any other care of the baby. It is preferable to schedule sessions during the morning, as a baby has longer periods of calm.
It is best to shoot these photographs during the first 15 days of the baby’s life. Ideally from the 5th to the 15th day. During that time, the baby is calm for longer periods of time and often sleeps, at which time it is possible to photograph it as it does not move and will not be troubled by our work. Of course, it is always possible to do the photo-shoot after the 15th day, although the theme will be slightly different, as after day 20, it is no longer newborn photography.
